The Hidden Bay

A short animated film created for the Israeli National Children’s Channel.
The story offers a creative interpretation of the ancient Jewish saying:
“It is not your duty to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it.”

On a hot summer day, a boy and a duck set out on their bikes for a trip to the beach—only to encounter an unexpected and unsettling surprise.

The film is part of the What Makes a Hero? anthology: a collection of 10 animated shorts that reimagine Jewish wisdom in fresh and inventive ways.
Produced with support from The Gesher Multicultural Film Fund (GMFF) and Kan.
